Effective communications play a huge role in everything you do within your work and who you are working with. Communication with a social worker and a service user is very important as it allows both to exchange vital communication throughout the day.

It is important to observe the reaction after communicating with an individual to understand if there is any communication barrier for example on may give a confused facial expression indicating that he or she did not understand what was being said.
